To download SSC GD Admit Card 2026: (1) Visit ssc.gov.in. (2) Click Login at the top right. (3) Enter your Registration ID and Password. (4) Click the Admit Card / Hall Ticket download link for the GD 2025-26 Exam. (5) Download the PDF and print it. Carry the printed copy to the exam hall.

Q3. What is the difference between SSC GD City Slip and Admit Card?
The City Slip (released 19 April 2026) shows only your exam city, date, and shift — useful for booking travel. The Admit Card (released 2–3 days before exam) has the full exam centre address, reporting time, all candidate details, and is the ONLY document valid for exam hall entry. Do not confuse the two.

Q4. What documents should I carry to the SSC GD exam?
Carry: (1) Printed SSC GD Admit Card 2026 — mandatory, no entry without it. (2) Original valid photo ID — Aadhaar, Voter ID, PAN Card, Passport, or Driving Licence. (3) Two passport-size photos same as application photo. (4) Transparent water bottle. No mobile phones, smart watches, bags, or electronic items allowed inside.

Q5. What is SSC GD 2026 exam pattern and marks?
SSC GD CBT 2026 has 80 questions worth 160 marks (2 marks each). Four sections: General Intelligence & Reasoning (20Q/40M), General Knowledge & GA (20Q/40M), Elementary Mathematics (20Q/40M), English/Hindi (20Q/40M). Duration: 60 minutes. Negative marking: -0.50 marks for each wrong answer.

Q6. What is the SSC GD 2026 salary?
Selected SSC GD Constables are placed in Pay Level 3 of the 7th Pay Commission pay matrix — basic pay ₹21,700 to ₹69,100 per month. With DA, HRA, TA, and other allowances, the approximate in-hand salary is ₹30,000–₹35,000 per month. Additional benefits include free accommodation, ration, medical, travel, and risk/hardship allowance based on posting.

Q7. Is there any height relaxation for Assam candidates in SSC GD 2026?
Yes. Candidates from Assam and North East states get a 5 cm height relaxation. So instead of 170 cm, male candidates from Assam need only 165 cm. Female candidates from Assam need 152 cm instead of 157 cm. This relaxation applies during the Physical Standard Test (PST) stage.
