A) Nationality/Citizenship
To meet the nationality requirements for the SSC CHSL exam, candidates must fall under one of the following categories:
- Citizens of India.
- Belong to Nepal or Bhutan.
- Tibetan refugees who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling there.
- Persons of Indian origin who migrated to India from countries like Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Uganda, Burma, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
B) Age Limit
To apply for the exam, candidates should be between 18 and 27 years old. However, candidates from reserved categories may enjoy upper age relaxation as per special government rules.
