Meghalaya Police Recruitment 2024 Exam Details

  1. The Meghalaya Police Department has issued the syllabus and exam pattern for the Meghalaya Police Constable Recruitment.
  2. Interested candidates need to acquaint themselves with the syllabus, exam pattern, and other essential details before applying.
  3. Selection for constable positions will be based on merit in the Computer Based Examination (CBT), Physical Tests, and Interview conducted by the Meghalaya Police.
  4. The CBT will consist of a single paper worth 300 marks for Unarmed Branch Constables and 150 marks for Armed Branch Constables.
  5. Topics covered in the Unarmed Constable paper include English Grammar and Usage, Arithmetic/Elementary Science, and General Knowledge.

Selection Procedures:

Selection Procedures for Meghalaya Police Exam will be based on the following phases. Candidates who want to get through this exam have to perform well in all of these phases. They are,

  • Written Examination
  • Physical Efficiency Test
  • Interview
  • Document Verification
  1. The Written Examination will be held in an online format as a Computer-based Examination.
  2. The duration of the exam will be 3 hours.
  3. Only candidates scoring 20 times the total vacancy for the Constable post and who pass the Physical Efficiency Test of either 100 or 250 marks will receive the Admit Card for the CBT.
  4. Candidates selected after the CBT will be invited for the Interview, which carries a weightage of 50 marks
