NDA NA Exam 2024 – Check Exam Details

(21 Dec,2023) National Defense Academy (NDA) & Naval Academy (NA) Examination (I) 2024: Check Online Exam Date, Syllabus, Qualification & Other Eligibility Criteria like Age Limit. The NDA NA Entrance Exam is conducted by UPSC – Union Public Service Commission, twice every year in April & September month. And as in previous years, this year also, UPSC is going to conduct the NDA NA Exam on Sunday, 21st April, 2024. The online application for the examination has started on 20th December,2024. And students can apply for the  NDA NA examination during the period from 20 December, 2023 to 09 January, 2024. But while applying the candidates should ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility conditions for appearing on the Examination. Their admission at all the stages of the examination will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. • For UR/OBC/EWS: Rs. 100/-
• For Female/ SC/ ST: NIL
• Payment Method: Net Banking/UPI/Debit Card/Credit Card

Applicants who opt for “Pay by Cash” mode, should print the system generated Pay-in-slip during Part-II registration and deposit the fee at the counter of SBI Branch on the next working day only.

“Pay by Cash” mode option will be deactivated at 23:59 hours of 08.01.2024 i.e. one day before the closing date;

NDA NA Examination (I) 2024 Eligibility Criteria

(A) Educational Qualification for NDA NA Examination (I), 2024:

For Army Wing of National Defence Academy :—12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy :—12th Class pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.

(B) Age Limit for NDA NA Examination (I), 2024:

For any candidate (Male/Female/UR/OBC/EWS/SC/ST), The required Age Limit for appearing on the NDA NA EXAMINATION 2024 is 15 years to 18  years

According to the notification of NDA NA Examination 2024, Candidates born not earlier than 02nd July, 2005 and not later than 1st July, 2008 are eligible.

(C) Maritial Status NDA NA Examination (I), 2024:

Only UNMARRIED male/female candidates are eligible for the NDA NA Examination 2024.

NDA NA Examination (I) 2024 Syllabus & Exam Pattern

(A) Scheme/Pattern of NDA NA Examination 2024:

There is only one online CBT Test and a SSB Interview is conducted for NDA NA Exam, and there is no Mains Examination. Candidates have to clear only one stage of written examination and then the SSB interview for getting the selection.
Stage1: Online Objective Type Test (CBT)Stage2: SSB Test/Interview
(i) The CBT examination is consists of two papers – a) MATHEMATICS & b) General Ability Test.(ii) Duration for each paper is 150 Minutes ( 2 Hour 30 Minutes )
(iii) Total Marks of the Online Examination is 900 ( Mathematics : 300 + General Ability Test : 600 )
(iv) Questions in online examination will be consists of OBJECTIVE TYPE QUESTIONS
(v) The SSB Test/Interview will consists of a total mark of 900.

(B) Syllabus of NDA NA Examination 2024:

(i) PAPER 1 : MATHEMATICS (MAXIMUM MARKS 300):

• TRIGONOMETRY
• ANALYTICAL GEOMETRY OF TWO AND THREE DIMENSIONS

(ii) PAPER 2 : GENERAL ABILITY TEST (MAXIMUM MARKS 600):

(iii) INTELLIGENCE AND PERSONALITY TEST:
The SSB procedure consists of two stage Selection process – stage I and stage II. Only those candidates who clear the stage I are permitted to appear for stage II. The details are : 

• (a) Stage I comprises of Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests are Picture Perception * Description Test (PP&DT). The candidates will be shortlisted based on combination of performance in OIR Test and PP&DT.
  
• b) Stage II Comprises of Interview, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests and the Conference. These tests are conducted over 4 days. The details of these tests are given on the website joinindianarmy.nic.in.
